On the weekend of the 10th-12th March, Bristol University and UWE's windsurf clubs double-teamed it to host BR_UWE, an SWA 'regional' event.

While the kids from the West side hit Bristol, The East Side Massive were causing trouble in Cambridge.  It was a small but perfectly formed event and, for the first time in living memory, not a single Bouy was interfered with!

Another fantastic year in the SWA calendar has drawn to a close and what a year it has been!

Aussie Kiss 4 kick started the year off with a bang down in Devon and was a great weekend for beginner windsurfers and advanced party goers alike. A fantastic freestyle competition was won by Southampton's Dave Dawson.

Everyone at AK4!

AK4- Probably the biggest windsurf event in the world!

  • Next the series moved on to Cardiff where marginal conditions saw Gordan Margery kick off his race campaign winning the advanced fleet and Sam Stevens wininng the Boardwise freestyle competition.

  • The second event in the core series, Nottingham unfortunately produced no results but thanks to a legendary party no one left dissapointed.

  • On to Liverpool for the penultimate event and one which saw some strong winds hit Crosby Marine Park. Sam Stevens and Grodan Margery came out 1 and 2 respectively in the freestyle and Gordan continued his dominance in the racing coming first again.

  • And so on to the last event in the series at Southampton. Strong winds once again prevaled and the sailors produced a fantastic display of slalom action. Bob Shelmerdine of Southampton coming home in first place and Sam Stevens also of Southampton and Pete baldwin of Bristol joint winners of the freestyle.
