The weekend of the 20-21st January saw the first ever UK landboarding championships in association with the SWA, Turfdog and Tushingham. The event took part in Hyde Park, London with students from Bristol, Imperial, King's College, Southampton and UWE in tow.

After some initial confusion and a few harsh words from the park warden, the event eventually took place in scenic location on a strip of road between the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens. The event consisted of a short slalom competition and an 'indoor style' freestyle competition which drew plenty of attention from dazzled passers by.

Prizes from Turfdog and Tushingham were awarded at a celebratory dinner in South Kensington followed up by an after party at the Imperial College Union.
