WARNING: the following information may make you so excited you just can't hide it, you think your going to lose control and you think you like it…….I'm talking about bladder control.

Making a comeback one year on from possibly the sickest wave event in SWA history, the Exeter event is here!

Kicking off the first SWA RRD/Ezzy wave series of the SWA calendar, Exeter are planning on making this year bigger, better and wetter. Start praying to the wind gods.

X marks the spot, X will be the location with howling winds, raging seas and the perfect cross-on conditions for cracking out those table tops and one handed forwards. The event will be based in Exeter and we will consult the (wind) guru to decide which spot to head to on the day for the best conditions. We have the whole of Devon and Cornwall to choose from, no other event can claim such versatility!

Just to remind you, for your £20 you get the following goodies:

  • Event T-shirt (a wifey B in fact!)
  • Accommodation
  • Breakfast
  • Wave Clinics by Andy King
  • Competition entry
  • Professional judging
  • RLNI safety cover and rescue boat
  • Party ticket

The theme for the party is Lady and the Tramp, find an old newspaper and cardboard box for an instant tramp transformation or find your prettiest dress and slap on the lippy (windsurf boys don't need any encouragement).

Here is the plan for the weekend:

Friday
Registration in the Lemmy, the Student Union club on campus. You will be parking on campus for the weekend, plenty of space and security. Have a refreshing beer; reminisce on last year and the 50 year storm conditions. Head off to your host's pad, slightly inebriated telling everyone how you will back loop tomorrow.

Saturday
Traditional bacon sarnie then back to campus to find out the location of the sailing spot after rigorous examination of the wind reports. Road trip 'storm chasing' style to Cornwall. Wave clinics with Andy King, free sailing and competition heats running on both days with professional judging. Safety cover from the RLNI including an inshore rescue boat.

Saturday Night
Pub quiz and evening meal to get the party started. Head off to the Lemmy, rock out with your frocks out lady and the tramp style.

Sunday
Same format as Saturday, more wave clinics and competitions. Proceed to the pub for prize giving and raffle before heading back to your homeland. There are some light wind alternatives planned so book a place now and you will be guaranteed crazy party action and some form of windsurfing related activity.

The places are limited to bed space, if you are planning on sleeping in your van (brrrr!) then contact Liss at 'ae217@ex dot ac dot uk'.

There it is boys and girls; an X-treme, X-trodinary X-hilarating Wave X. Go big or go home.
